Head of the Harbor is a 60 unit rental complex located on the Norwalk River in Norwalk, CT. Blades & Goven serve as the projects lead site designers/planners and was responsible for securing approvals from local agencies The project is located adjacent to the East Wall Street business district and the Mill Hill Historical Society. A public riverfront walk and plaza is included to provide public access to the waterfront. The site plan was developed utilizing sustainable design principles reducing runoff and recharging ground water. Extensive native plantings are planned to restore the buffer at the rivers edge. The project is located in the FEMA AE flood zone. The project is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016.
